We all have may think that the Cookie and Biscuit are
Same. but it is not really True. Though both cookie and Biscuit are Baked.
There are some big difference between Cookie and Biscuit.
What is Cookie?
- “Koekje” a Dutch Word, have you guys
heard about it. the word “koekje” is derived from this Dutch word. Which
means Small cake.
- Cookie is mostly made in Wheat flour
but according to our need we can make it in oats etc.,
- Cookie have more flavour because it
has more ingredients.
- In cookie, we can add more ingredients
like Chocolate chips, raisins, badam ,Cashews ,etc., Because of more
ingredients and Flavours is need more time to Bake.
- Cookie is most favourite for most of
the people. Due its Crunchiness and Taste.
What is Biscuit?
- “Bescuit” a middle French Word, Which is derived from Latin, The Word Bis means “Twice” and cuit means (to cook, cooked), which means Double cooked or Twice cooked. “Biscuits” are Thinner than Cookies.
- Biscuit is more popular than Cookie. Biscuits are liked by more people all over the World.
- Biscuit are available in different forms and Flavours like chocolate, strawberry.
- The main ingredient of biscuit is Maida and Wheat flour.
- Biscuit is also liked by majority of people due to its crispiness and fluffiness.
Similarities of Cookie and Biscuit:
The only
Similarities with Cookie and Biscuit is Baked.
Difference Between Biscuit and Cookie:
- Both Cookies and biscuits are baked but they have major Difference.
- The simple difference between a cookie and Biscuit is cookie is thick and Biscuit is Thin.
- Whatever the cookie or biscuit, I like all of them.
